ZumRise Development Consulting PLC is a firm based in Addis Ababa, dedicated to helping NGOs, UN agencies, and development partners achieve sustainable impact. Founded by Dr. Jemal Hassen and Mrs. Zumra Tilahun, ZumRise brings together two decades of expertise in international development, humanitarian response, research, and strategic advisory services through the rich knowledge and experience of its teams.

Our team has successfully led multi-sectoral programs across Africa and Asia, covering food security and livelihoods, health and nutrition, WASH, Education, Access to Justice and Protection, and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). With experience managing multi-million-dollar donor portfolios for organizations such as USAID, ECHO, EU, UNICEF, UNHCR, WFP, and Irish Aid, we combine global best practices with deep local knowledge of Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
